New feature on the Australian pavilion website – Creative Director’s Diary!

The Australian pavilion today launched the online diary of its creative director, Pete! Ford of Melbourne-based, Think!OTS - official designer of the Australian pavilion.

The diary will serve as a repository of Pete's design work in the lead up to the opening of Expo on 1 May 2010.
 
Commissioner General for Australia, Lyndall Sachs said, "With the publication of our 'Creative Director's Diary' we hope to give readers a unique insight into the design of our three-act pavilion and its various exhibits".
 
The diary contains images, video and anecdotes from Pete!

Pete! is the Australian pavilion's 'expo expert' having worked at the following:

  • EXPO 1988 - Audio visual tech for the Canadian Pavilion
  • EXPO 1993 - Worked on the creative for the winning pitch for the Australian Pavilion
  • EXPO 2000 - Creative direction and design for all of the audio visual elements (the two main shows) within the Australian Pavilion (Hannover World Expo)
  • EXPO 2000 - Producer on the Australian section for the Siemens Pavilion (Hannover World Expo)
  • EXPO 2005 - Creative Director for Design and Production for the Australian Pavilion (Aichi World Expo)
  • EXPO 2010 - Creative Director for Design and Production for the Australian Pavilion (Shanghai World Expo)
